Technical Director - Angola



1. The incumbent is required to manage and lead the Technical and Manufacturing function of the organization in Angola and is ultimately responsible for the cost effective and reliable production of consistent high quality products, in compliance with corporate and technical governance as well as local country specific statutory and regulatory requirements.

As a member of the senior executive team of the company there is a shared responsibility and accountability for the operational and strategic decisions of the company. The incumbent is also responsible for the development and implementation of a Technical and Manufacturing Strategic Plan in order to meet world class manufacturing standards in production and quality.



2. OUTPUTS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES


o Develop and implement Strategic Plans for the Technical /Manufacturing department ( 1 - 5 year horizon ), including Technical Master Plans for each operation and the country as a whole.
o Contribute to the success of the organization at large as a key member of the operating board.
o Continuously drive improvements w.r.t. manufacturing capability and performance delivery by resolute implementation of the Manufacturing Strategy.
o Set and manage Budgets for the Technical function of the business
o Ensure good Corporate Governance and controls in the Technical department , including compliance to all applicable local country statutory and regulatory requirements.
o Ensure Technical
o Executive management of all the manufacturing assets ( Asset Care, optimize capacity utilization, Product & Brand integrity and Technical CAPEX plans )
o Human Resources and HR processes in Manufacturing
o Strategic Resources and HR Development
o Ensure a Safe and healthy work- and external Environment.
o Manage the Technical Department’s Relationship with all it’s Stakeholders and customers


3. COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS

 Knowledge and Experience Required


 Appropriate Technical qualification
 10 – 15 years experience in Production / Manufacturing in a FMCG environment ( Brewing , Bottling or related industries), incorporating high speed packaging equipment.
 5 years experience in a senior management position
 Experience in Modern Manufacturing philosophies and WCM work practices
 Sound knowledge and understanding of Asset Care and modern maintenance practices and techniques.
 Sound Human Resource Management experience
 Experience in the application of performance management processes

 Ability to think effectively and able to work under pressure.
 Must be able to work in an unstructured environment – high tolerance for ambiguity and ability to see the bigger picture.
 Attention to details and high energy level ( Bias for Action ) while maintaining a “ big picture “ perspective and be results driven.
 Good communication skills ( Both verbal and written )
